The 5 villages of Leucate stretch along the 18 kilometers of fine sand beaches. The beaches width varies from 400 meters (Plage des Coussoules in la Franqui) to a few meters for the well-protected beach of La Plagette, at the feet of the cliff. The full East exposure allows the braves and the night-owls to admire beautiful sunrises. On the other side, the sea pond, surrounded by the Mount Canigou and the Corbières mountain range, boasts small cozy beaches with warm and shallow water. There, the lovers of long afternoon could delight in magnificent sunsets.
			Leucate Plage   This is the perfect beach for families !   Leucate Plage has the only beach of the coast which is sheltered from the wind "la Tramontane".
			Port Leucate This never-ending beach starts at the north at the feet of the semaphore and ends up at the famous beached Lydia ship to the south.
			Les Coussoules A natural, protected and unique site. Its particular sand offers a paradisiac spot for the sand-yatchs lovers. This huge wild beach attract more and more visitors every years, looking for freedom and complete peace.
			Naturist area       The beaches of this area are located between the channels and the piers of the port of Port Leucate. Those are, of course, reserved for the naturists only ; residents or not !
			Le Monset Mouret   Situated between Leucate Plage and the channel, there is also a naturist beach. There is no buildings, and there also, beauty rhyme with freedom.
			La Franqui   Elected fourth nicest beach of France, the large beach of la Franqui seduce with its family atmosphere, a little quaint. Nestled at the feet of the cliff, between the end of the village to the chanel of La Palme pond ; it's merging with the amazing pine forest.
Leucate beaches are natural protected areas where pets are not allowed in the watched area.
